My passions for global health and creative writing have led me across the world and right back home into campaigns, classrooms, and community poetry/writing events in Arizona. Through my  work, I hope to bring arts and advocacy as one into the classroom.

I received my B.A.s in English (Creative Writing) and Global Studies in August 2016 from Arizona State University. Since then, I have done global health work, canvassed for voter registration, edited for local presses, taught ESL classes for union workers, ran poetry workshops at the Grant Woods Boys & Girls Club, made zines, and taught in Arizona schools. Currently, I am pursuing my master’s in secondary education, while teaching full time as an English Language Arts teacher at an alternative high school. I also run little somethings press and am a fiction editor for Iron City Magazine.
